Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is seeking a Regional Collection Specialist to prevent delinquency by monitoring accounts and performing in-house collection efforts.

You will initiate calls and emails to past-due customers, determine reasons for delinquencies, and arrange for collections or corrections to accounts. The role requires 2+ years in credit and collections, strong Microsoft Office skills, and knowledge of Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent and 2+ years in credit and collections.
• Strong financial skills and knowledge of common collections practices.
• Proficient with PC and MS Office: Excel, Outlook, Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Fair Credit Reporting Act is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates contact with past-due accounts by phone or email to collect or adjust errors.
• Process payments, issue credits, and handle billing issues as needed.
• Run daily/weekly aging reports and credit holds, assisting with credit decisions.
• Coordinate with sales and offsite collections on strategy for problem accounts.
• Provide backup support for customer service and accounts receivable tasks.
