Job summary

Makino is a world leader in metal-cutting and machining technology, seeking a CNC Technician Level 2 or Sr. to support customers in GA, NC, and AL. The role involves traveling to sites, troubleshooting and repairing CNC equipment, and providing training and after-sales support.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with Makino CNC tools and can read technical drawings. The position covers regional travel from home base, with company vehicle provided and travel expenses paid.

Qualifications

• Direct hands-on experience servicing Makino CNC machine tools or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency with software tools (e.g., Microsoft Office) and laptop-based tasks.
• Strong technical, communication, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally and work from home base.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machine tool equipment and controls.
• Use online technical documentation, manuals, and vendor resources to research and resolve machine issues.
• Complete and submit accurate documentation to Makino and customers regarding machine status, repairs, and installations.
• Perform and promote preventive maintenance on customer equipment and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the machine tool industry and the Makino product lines.
• Participate in training on CNC repair and Makino equipment during onboarding.
