Job summary

Makino, a world leader in metal-cutting and machining technology, seeks a CNC Technician Level 2 or Sr across the United States. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC equipment, traveling to customer sites.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining machine tool equipment, researching issues with manuals and vendor resources, documenting status, and providing after-sales technical support and training.

Qualifications

• Direct hands-on experience with CNC machine tools (Makino or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; frequent use of laptop and smartphone.
• Strong technical, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel regionally; technicians dispatched from home.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC equipment.
• Use manuals and vendor resources to research and resolve machine issues.
• Complete and submit accurate documentation on machine status and repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and provide after-sales technical support and training.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of the machine tool industry and Makino products.
• Participate in onboarding training for CNC repair and Makino equipment.
