Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a local/regional Delivery Driver to support our construction reinforcement and steel product operations. You will handle delivery paperwork, communicate with dispatch, and ensure on-time, safe arrival at jobsites.

You will perform pre/post-trip inspections, comply with DOT regulations, and maintain logs while loading and securing cargo. A valid CDL-A and physical fitness to lift up to 65 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to speak and understand English in verbal communication.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL).
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete delivery paperwork and communicate load/timing issues with dispatch, sales, and customers.
• Conduct daily pre-trip, intra-trip, and post-trip inspections of truck and cargo.
• Deliver products to customers, contractors, and job sites within the region.
• Follow all safety rules and wear required PPE.
• Load, secure, and deliver cargo safely and on time.
• Maintain vehicle service and repair logs per regulations.
• Operates vehicles using ELDs and safety dashcams (training provided).
• Work flexible hours based on business needs.
