Job summary

Ryder is seeking a professional Class A CDL driver for a Monday–Friday regional route in the Bay Area and Northern California. Drivers will operate straight trucks and pup trailers, with 26' straight trucks and 28' pups. The role offers per diem, paid training, and comprehensive benefits after 30 days.

Home time is regional with some opportunities to be home daily. Starting schedule is 4:00 AM with a 45+ hour work week.

Pay, Home Time & More:

• Earn $1,560+ per week
• Hourly pay: $31.49 per hour
• Hours per week: 45+ hours per week
• Per diem: Pays $65.00 per night with 1 - 2 nights out a week
• Nights out booked in Ryder-paid hotel
• Route: Regional with some opportunity for home daily
• 80 hours PTO your first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid for it)

Schedule, Freight & Equipment:

• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Start time: 4:00 AM
• Deliver solo to: Bay Area & Northern CA
• Tractor type: Straight trucks, pup trailer
• Trailertype: 26' straight truck, 28' pups
• Equipment: Manual pallet jack & hand truck
• Ryder will train you on all equipment needed to be successful
• Freight: Heavy touch - pet food
• Delivery experience is a plus

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL
• 9 months of experience within the past 3 years
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
