Ryder System, Inc. in Richmond, CA is seeking a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our regional team. This role offers weekly pay, comprehensive benefits, and steady driving assignments across the Western states.

As a driver you’ll operate day cab or sleeper tractors, qualify for overtime after 40 hours, and receive per diem pay with a $1 per 3 certifications/endorsements incentive. Training and a strong safety culture support your career.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Provide CDL Class A with endorsements for the position.
• Pass Ryder drug test, background, and motor vehicle checks (3 years look-back).
• Pass DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• 9 months of tractor-trailer or equivalent experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years or 5 years in last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions and read applicable laws/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal/state laws and Ryder standards.
• Load/unload freight or assist with loading/unloading if required.
• Maintain accurate records and logs and support safety initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ryder Drivers are Paid Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $29.00 Per Hour Base Pay Plus Additional $1 for Every 3 Certifications/Endorsements
• Overtime Paid After 40 Hours
• Hours Per Week: 40 + hours per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night
• Overnights for Route in Ryder Booked Hotel or Sleeper
• Paid Travel
• Tenure Bonus: Pays You $1000 each year you are with the company from Nov. 1- to Oct. 31
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Monday - Friday - Must be Flexible

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Responsibilities
