Job summary

Ryder is seeking a driver for local home daily routes in California and nearby areas. You will operate a Day Cab tractor-trailer, deliver dry grocery freight, and assist with loading/unloading as needed. Excellent safety record and adherence to Ryder standards are essential.

Qualifications include a valid CDL-A, at least 9 months of driving in the past 3 years, minimum age 21, and successful completion of Ryder drug/background checks and a DOT physical. Weekly pay details are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A required.
• 9 months of driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.

Responsibilities

• Deliver local home-daily routes across Southern/Central/Northern CA and AZ.
• Safely operate a Day Cab tractor-trailer.
• Assist with loading/unloading as needed; driver will assist with unloading in dry grocery freight.
• Maintain vehicle and report any issues to ensure on-time deliveries.

Average $1,625+ per Week

Home Daily - Comprehensive Benefits

Pay, Home Time & More:

• Average $1,625+ per week


• Hourly pay: $26.00 per hour


• Hours per week: 55 hours per week on average


• Route: Local home daily


• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days


• Accrue up to 80 hours PTO your first year, starting day 1 (use it or get paid for it)

Schedule, Freight & Equipment:

• Schedule: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday


• Shift: 4:00 AM - 10:00 AM


• Deliver solo to: Southern CA, Central CA, possible Northern CA and AZ


• Tractor type: Day cabtandem axel


• Trailertype: Dry van, 48', 53'


• Equipment: Electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack


• Freight: Touch - dry grocery - driver assist unloading


• Must have backing skills/experience


• Store delivery experience preferred

Requirements:
