Job summary

DSV Air & Sea Inc. in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a CDL A regional driver to perform same-day pickup and delivery within a defined region. You will operate for-hire tractors, ensuring safe, timely transport and accurate shipment documentation.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and professional communication with customers. You will manage multiple stops per shift and work closely with dispatchers to maintain on-time performance.

Qualifications

Valid CDL A license required.
2+ years CDL A driving experience within the last 4 years (3+ years preferred).
Must meet DOT qualification requirements (FMCSR 391.41).
No positive drug or alcohol test results in the past 5 years.
No accident involving bodily injury within the last 3 years.
Experience in local P&D operations, multi-stop routing, urban driving preferred.
TWIC card or ability to obtain within 90 days, if required.
Hazmat endorsement required.

Responsibilities

Drives semi-tractor/trailers for up to 11 hours per shift after 10 hours off-duty on runs of up to one week or more.
Backs trailers to customer dock.
Maintains compliance with Federal and State safety regulations and safe driving behavior.
Communicates with customer representatives in a pleasant, respectful manner.
Coordinate with dispatchers to optimize routes and schedules.
Ensure DOT drug/alcohol testing compliance as required.
Secure cargo and balance it properly within the vehicle.
