Job summary

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) is seeking a Regional Driver for its NAPA Private Fleet. The role focuses on safely operating a tractor-trailer with sleeper to move automotive parts between distribution centers, stores, and facilities regionally, with weekends at home and a focus on safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include timely freight delivery, pre/post-trip inspections, and accurate ELD logging. Candidates should have Class A CDL with HazMat, 2+ years CDL experience, and the ability to

Qualifications

• Minimum age 23 years.
• Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement.
• At least 2 years of CDL experience required.
• Must pass MVR check.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate tablets/e-logs and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight regionally for short or long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Perform required inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment regularly, and document and refer defects/repairs to manager and maintenance representative.
• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Accurately document and log work/rest periods in company assigned ELD.
• Safely load and unload all equipment/materials when needed and secure loads.
• Follow manifests, bills of lading and shipping documents to determine delivery times.
• Complete paperwork including shipping and billing documents and maintain records.
• Communicate with Dispatch/Operations regarding movements, equipment issues, delays, etc.
• Represent the Company in a professional manner and follow FMCSA/DOT rules.
