Job summary

USA GPC Genuine Parts Company seeks a Regional CDL A Driver for our Private Fleet to safely operate a tractor-trailer with sleeper bunk. The role moves automotive parts between distribution centers and stores regionally, with weekend home time and no-touch freight.

Expect mileage-based pay and modern leased equipment with safety training. Responsibilities include disciplined adherence to FMCSA/DOT rules, accurate logs in ELD, loading/unloading, and timely delivery to designated locations.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current valid commercial driver’s license (CDL A) with HAZ-MAT endorsement.
• At least 2 years of CDL experience required.
• Must pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight regionally for short or long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Perform required inspection and preventative maintenance on assigned equipment regularly, and report defects/repairs to manager and maintenance representative.
• Ensure operations comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Log work/rest periods in ELD as required.
• Load, unload and secure loads safely; verify weight and balance.
• Follow manifests, bills of lading and shipping documents for delivery timing and location.
• Complete paperwork and maintain records per state and federal laws and regulations.
• Communicate with Dispatch/Operations about movements, equipment issues, delays, etc.
• Maintain professional appearance and represent the company in a professional manner.
• Follow FMCSA and DOT rules and regulations.
