Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior leader to supervise the regional Clinical Documentation Integrity program. The role directs CDI Specialists and Coordinators, monitors staffing and workflows, and drives quality and compliance with CMS guidelines.

You will mentor physicians, collaborate with coding teams, and lead performance improvement initiatives. Requirements include a health information management degree, CDI certification preferred, and at least five years in hospital CDI with two+ years of

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in health information management, nursing, or related field.
Certified CDI or CCDS is preferred.
Minimum five years in hospital CDI programs.
Two+ years supervising CDI staff in a hospital setting.
Thorough knowledge of CMS regulations, coding guidelines and DRG reimbursement.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the regional CDI program and supervise CDI staff.
Assess staffing levels and ensure regional goals are met with compliant workflows.
Develop policies and education on documentation requirements, reimbursement, and data quality.
Monitor quality, productivity and participate in performance improvement initiatives.
Educate physicians and staff on CDI and monitor provider participation.
Collaborate with coding staff to ensure accurate DRG assignments and CODING accuracy.
