Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Regional CDI Program Leader to supervise daily operations for the Clinical Documentation Integrity team across Health Ministries. The position requires at least five years in CDI leadership, strong CMS/regulatory knowledge, and the ability to train staff across remote and onsite settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, healthcare related field or nursing or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of CDI program experience.
• Two or more years of supervising CDI staff.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, ICD-10 guidelines and DRG reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the CDI program for the Health Ministries region, including remote and onsite staff.
• Provide training and education to Clinical Documentation Specialists and Coordinators.
• Collaborate with clinicians, coding, quality and denials teams to ensure accurate documentation and DRG assignment.
• Recruitment, retention, and scheduling of CDI staff; monitor attendance and time off.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and CDI best practices.
