A leading entertainment company in Pennsylvania seeks a Procurement Specialist to support customer service and handle procurement records while ensuring compliance. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and prior experience in hotel or casino purchasing. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required or equivalent experience.
• Previous Purchasing experience in a hotel/casino/F&B environment is strongly preferred.
• Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support and promote superior customer service.
• Review requisitions and confer with vendors.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Estimate values based on market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
• Reviews requisitions.
• Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
• Selects products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items.
• Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.
• Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid.
• Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.
• Reviews bid proposals and negotiates contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.
• Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
• Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
• Expedites delivery of goods to users.
• Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance within area of authority and reporting potential issues to management.
• Maintains strict confidentiality in all company matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university required; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous Purchasing experience in a hotel/casino/F&B environment strongly preferred.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be fluent and literate in English.
• Must have proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
