Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Regional Business Manager to join our South Florida Region's leadership team. This in-office role is based in West Palm Beach, FL, and will partner with regional leadership and project teams to drive financial performance.

You will mentor accounting staff, oversee regional metrics, and support planning and budgeting. The role requires travel and a proactive, collaborative mindset within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience; AEC industry experience a plus.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate.
• Experience supporting annual planning and budgeting cycles preferred.
• Strong technical proficiency with accounting systems, ERP/MIS platforms, and financial reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional leadership and Practice Builder teams to support overall business and financial performance.
• Provide oversight of core regional financial metrics and performance trends.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to support project financial management and forecasting.
• Mentor, train, and lead regional accounting staff to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Support and enhance internal controls and financial processes for consistency.
• Lead regional real estate efforts in coordination with firm leadership.
• Build strong relationships across engineering, planning, accounting, and corporate teams.
• Participate in and lead special projects and firm initiatives.
