Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Project Accountant for our West Palm Beach, FL office. The role involves monthly financial analysis, revenue recognition, invoicing, and contract management in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

You will work with Project Managers across disciplines, ensuring timely billing and accurate recording of transactions in the MIS system. The position requires at least 2 years of accounting experience and a strong foundation in accounting principles.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree.
• Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals.
• High degree of professionalism and strong people skills.
• Must be an excellent team player.
• Experience with Excel and Word required.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly financial analysis and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with Project Managers across disciplines.
• Meet multiple critical monthly deadlines.
• Ensure charging and billing transactions are properly recorded in MIS.
• Prepare invoices and complete monthly billing process.
• Oversee contract management and review.
• Coordinate and pursue receivables.
• Travel monthly to other regional offices as needed.
