The ideal candidate will be comfortable moving prospects through the sales process, from prospecting to demonstrating our products, through negotiation, to making the sale. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business development team.
This role reports to the Director of Business Development. The person in this position will work remotely with some travel to the office.
- Sales and Market Expansion
- Meet and exceed targets set for selling NCCER products and services, including the Construction Superintendent Certification Program, the Construction Foreman Certification Program, and CraftPro.
- Define and execute a territory plan strategically targeting high-potential regions or accounts.
- Engage in direct sales with customers by qualifying leads and managing them through the opportunity lifecycle, including pricing and contract signing.
- Consistently close customer sales, establish timelines for implementation, and follow up on the agreed-upon timelines.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain client relationships to ensure satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts to drive sustained revenue growth.
- Provide product demonstrations for interested customers to educate them on how we can meet their needs.
- Collaborate with a team of sales and workforce development professionals to drive sales.
- Sales Metrics
- Utilize Salesforce CRM as the system of record for tracking customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline management.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the Director of Business Development, including customer feedback and marketing strategy recommendations.
- Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to inform positioning and product strategy.
Requirements
- An associate's degree or higher, or five years’ work experience in a related field
- At least three years of sales experience as an individual contributor is required.
- Experience selling construction products and services, or related SaaS products, is highly valued.
- Results-driven with a history of driving revenue growth.
Skills And Characteristics
- Exceptional presentation skills, both in person and virtually.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills alongside excellent negotiation abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with executives, management, and staff at all levels.
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM is highly preferred; familiarity with HubSpot and ZoomInfo will be advantageous.
- Reliable in attendance and performance.
