The Regional Business Development Leader is a key contributor to driving revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the assigned region. This position focuses on executing strategic sales initiatives, account acquisition, and market penetration. The position is accountable for various sales performance such as achievement of sales goals, objectives, and key performance indicators as outlined in the company’s business strategy.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in sales and business development with a strong background in the CCTV and video surveillance industry. This role requires exceptional knowledge of the market, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a proven ability to exceed sales targets while maintaining flexibility in changes and new initiatives. This position requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently to meet sales objectives while aligning with the company’s overall business strategy.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities by leveraging industry knowledge and market trends.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the customer base and achieve regional sales targets.
  • Conduct research to understand prospective clients’ business models, challenges, and security needs.
  • Establish strong relationships with key decision-makers to build trust and enhance client relationships.
  • Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies to penetrate new markets and increase market share.
  • Establish and meet individual sales objectives by forecasting and planning regional sales quotas.
  • Monitor individual performance metrics to assess progress toward goals and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas by executing a results-driven sales strategy.
  • Analyze and approve project registration and special pricing requests, while consulting across various departments such as Product Management and Sales.
  • Work closely with the national accounts to ensure proper service and coverage to large accounts and national account branches

Client Relationship Management & Market Analysis

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by providing exceptional service and technical expertise.
  • Understand client requirements and provide tailored solutions, including product demonstrations and technical advice.
  • Collaborate with Sales Engineers and other team members to coordinate product demos, site visits, and solution presentations to prospective clients.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with existing and potential clients to ensure satisfaction and uncover additional business opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitors’ offerings to position LTS products effectively.
  • Monitor competitive landscapes and recommend changes to sales strategies to respond to market dynamics.
  • Represent the company at trade association shows, industry conferences, and networking events to enhance market presence.

Performance & Territory Management

  • Consistently meet or exceed regional sales targets by executing well-defined sales strategies.
  • Prepare and present regular sales reports, pipeline forecasts, and performance analyses to senior leadership.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance to identify areas for improvement and adjust action plans as needed.
  • Manage the assigned region efficiently, ensuring regular client visits and active engagement with key accounts.
  • Travel up to 80% of the time to meet clients, conduct product demonstrations, and attend industry events.
  • Periodically engage in out-of-region travel to pursue high-priority opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Prior experience managing regional sales territory with a strong focus on revenue growth.
  • Existing network of contacts in the security and surveillance industry.
  • Proven ability to identify market gaps and implement targeted sales strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, and associated IT/IP systems required for core job functions
  • Strong presentation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong commercial outlook with an entrepreneurial approach to business development
  • Ability to think creatively to achieve long and short-term objectives
  • Primarily remote with frequent travel (up to 80%) for client visits, product demonstrations, and trade shows, with occasional out-of-region travels and reporting to branch offices.
  • Competitive base salary with a performance-based commission structure.

EXPERIENCE AND BENEFITS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Communication, or related major, or an MBA is preferred
  • 10+ years experience in business development and direct/outside sales (B2B a plus)
  • Car allowance of $500.00 per month on a pro rata basis for business travel
  • Cell Phone allowance of $150.00 per month on a pro rata basis
  • Stationary allowance of $20.00 per month on a pro rata basis
  • Group Health Insurance, including Medical, Dental, Vision, and the Optional GAP Plan
  • 401(k) Retirement Plan
