Job summary

BBNA seeks a Contaminated Sites Coordinator to drive the Brownfields program in Dillingham and surrounding communities. You will coordinate with tribal, local government, and state agencies to assess sites, create inventories, and prioritize cleanup and redevelopment opportunities.

The role requires travel across Alaska and strong writing, documentation, and project-management skills. Part-time position with a wage range aligned to local norms; reports to Environmental Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences preferred.
• Strong writing skills and ability to communicate with agencies.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Identify and catalog potential Brownfield sites from tribal sources.
• Develop a regional Brownfield site inventory and database.
• Coordinate with villages to input data into state databases.
• Assist ADEC/EPA with site assessments and environmental service applications.
• Prepare program reports and outreach materials for communities.
