Job summary

Terracon is seeking a seasoned accounting professional to oversee invoicing for complex regional projects. The role requires expertise in invoicing, revenue recognition, and collaboration with IT and finance teams to optimize systems and processes.

You will lead, audit, and improve billing practices, support the regional finance staff, and ensure contract terms are correctly reflected in project financials. A strong client-service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field with 5+ years in accounting or 9+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Strong understanding of invoicing processes, revenue recognition, and contract terms.
• Proficient in MS Office and ERP/financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accuracy and timely completion of invoicing for complex regional projects or clients.
• Support escalated invoicing and reporting activities for the finance team.
• Coordinate workload of the Regional Finance Team and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Read contracts and advise how billing affects project financials and revenue recognition.
• Ensure evidence of arrangements exists for revenue recognition with project management.
• Resolve invoicing questions from operations and other departments.
• Perform quality assurance audits on invoicing and collections activities.
• Provide professional internal/external client service by phone, email, chat, or in person.
