Job summary

Terracon is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Invoicing Specialist to oversee invoicing accuracy and timely completion for complex regional projects. You will collaborate with IT and Finance to optimize processes, ensuring compliance with contracts and revenue recognition standards.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, leadership, and the ability to prioritize workloads across the Regional Finance Team while maintaining excellent internal and external client service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and timely completion of invoicing activities for complex regional projects or clients.
• Support other Corporate or Operational Finance staff with escalated invoicing and reporting activities.
• Assist with the coordination of the workload of the Regional Finance Team and assign special projects as needed.
• Read and understand project contracts related to billing and revenue recognition.
• Work with Project Management and other Corporate departmental employees to ensure evidence of arrangement documentation exists for revenue recognition.
• Resolve questions from operations and other departments regarding invoicing status and follow up.
• Perform comprehensive quality assurance audits and quality control on invoicing and collections activities.
• Provide excellent internal and external client service by maintaining a positive and professional attitude while collaborating on solutions.
• Perform data analysis as needed/requested by other team members.
• Participate in meetings with management for invoicing, reporting updates, and other issues.
• Participate in billing application and system testing as appropriate and requested.
• Train staff on invoicing processes and tools.
• Participate in ERP system improvements and ad hoc projects.
• Assist Regional Finance with procurement activities and supplier onboarding.
• Support pricing initiatives for quotes and project creation.
• Follow safety rules and maintain quality standards on all projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
