Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Bereavement Program Coordinator to support multiple hospital locations with regional travel. You will lead and advance bereavement services for perinatal, infant and pediatric families, working onsite to build partnerships with clinical teams and ensure consistent, high-quality support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health-related, social work or spiritual care field.
• 2 years of relevant experience working with bereaved families in a health care setting.
• Preferred MDiv, MSN, MSW, MA or equivalent degree in bereavement/Thanatology; BA/BSN with bereavement coordination experience also considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert support to bereaved families in a family-centered care environment.
• Lead monitoring, oversight and record keeping of all deaths at Corewell Health service sites.
• Assist in aggregate case data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Serve as core training faculty for system staff.
• Contribute to development and evaluation of bereavement standards and procedures.
