Job summary

State of Georgia is seeking a Regional Behavior Specialist for Region 3 Field Office in Atlanta. You will assess behavior support needs, develop and monitor behavior plans, and provide professional guidance to DD service providers across Georgia, under supervision of the Regional Behavior Analyst.

The role emphasizes clinical assessment, training, and collaboration with regional teams to ensure high-quality supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in applied behavior analysis, education, psychology or related field preferred.
• BCBA/BCaBA certification with experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in counseling or related field with relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial, updates and annual clinical assessments of behavior support needs.
• Monitors and evaluates behavior plans and service provider implementation.
• Provides direction and training to DD service providers on best practices in behavioral supports.
• Completes reports and verifications within required time frames.
• Collaborates with Regional Field Office staff and RBA to ensure quality care.
