Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking an accomplished executive to lead growth and market presence for the St. Louis area. The Area Executive will own market performance and guide an integrated team of commercial, business, and retail bankers.

This leader will establish market strategy, drive a disciplined sales culture, strengthen client and community ties, and build a high-performing team capable of sustainable growth. Collaboration with Credit, Branch Operations, and corporate teams is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum education and experience: Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years in commercial, business, or retail banking OR HS diploma and 14+ years in banking.
Preferred: management experience leading market-level banking teams and revenue growth.
Experience developing sales strategies and coaching bankers.
Strong knowledge of commercial credit, credit administration, risk and deal execution.

Responsibilities

Team Management: lead performance and personnel functions, drive accountability and customer value.
Service Standards: build collaborative partnerships and identify sales/referral opportunities.
Operations and Administration: ensure regulatory compliance and risk management.
Position-specific: develop sales plans, forecasting, and local board engagement.
Networking: build centers of influence and represent the bank on local boards.
