Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Regional Automation Engineer to lead high-level control system support across a region of sites. You will engage in commissioning, on-call support, continuous improvement, project management, and SOP development to ensure reliability and efficiency of automation equipment.

You'll work with PLC/PC controllers, SCADA, and automation networks, applying data analytics and problem-solving to optimize performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, automation engineering, or equivalent, or 7+ years PLC/automation experience.
7+ years of industrial controls and automation experience.
7+ years of PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis experience.

Responsibilities

Understand and troubleshoot material handling control systems including PLC/PC controllers and industrial networks.
Provide SME support for engineering issues and coordinate actions to reduce downtime.
Programming and source coding for in-house PLC/PC solutions and SCADA/OEE platforms.
Develop solutions related to Automation Systems and monitor KPI for efficiency.
Project management of large-scale initiatives coordinating site automation engineers.
Communicate with vendors and senior leadership to plan technical resolutions.
Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support for hardware and software across sites.
Travel up to 80%.
