Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Regional Automation Engineer to oversee high-level control systems across a region. You will engage directly in field launches, commissioning, continuous improvement, and projects, applying data analytics and best practices to ensure reliability.

Expect collaboration with onsite teams, developing SOPs and performance metrics for scalable uptime. The role requires strong PLC programming skills, robotics/automation experience, and willingness to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of PLC/automation experience.
• 4+ years of PLC-controlled automation experience.
• Experience with Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Codesys ladder logic.
• Experience with robotics work cells and control systems.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot material handling control systems including PLCs, networks, motor drives, and electrical distribution.
• Provide SME-level troubleshooting and coordinate with regional onsite automation engineers.
• Offer technical guidance and participate in cross-team projects and network support requests.
• Provide escalation support during and after hours to ensure timely repairs of hardware and control software.
• Travel up to 80% to support sites within an assigned region.
