Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Regional Automation Engineer to own high-level control systems support across a region of sites. You will engage in commissioning, on-call assistance, continuous improvement, and project management. Expect travel up to 80% to support multiple sites and implement reliable, optimized MHE systems.

You will develop SOPs, performance metrics, and best practices while guiding cross-team initiatives and ensuring safety and efficiency. Competitive benefits apply from Day 1.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years in PLC/automation.
• Experience with PLC-controlled automation and issue diagnosis.
• Experience with robotics work cells and control systems.
• Travel up to 80%.
• Active and unrestricted license in domicile state (WA) for pharmacy technician role?
• Flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot material handling control systems (PLC/PC, industrial networks, motor control, servo drives).
• Provide SME guidance on troubleshooting and regional support actions.
• Offer technical guidance for collaboration projects with other Amazon teams.
• Provide escalation support during/after business hours to repair hardware/software in buildings.
• Travel up to 80% to support sites in assigned region.
