Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a Regional Giving Specialist in the Office of Advancement. The role develops strategies for a regional giving program targeting alumni, parents/family, and friends with emphasis on mid-level giving and alumni engagement.

You will deliver strategic outreach, travel to constituents, and work with the Development Office to translate the university's mission into measurable engagement and fundraising outcomes. Hybrid-eligible after probation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business or related field with two years of related experience required.
• Travel is required for this position.
• Experience using a CRM and knowledge of fundraising techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop a regional giving program focused on securing mid-level gifts ($5,000-$24,999) from alumni, parents and friends.
• Conduct outreach and travel for assessment, cultivation and solicitations; document results in CRM.
• Coordinate with University Development Office to align engagement with university goals.
• Advance prospects to development officers for major gift cultivation when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
