Job summary

The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks a Regional Giving Specialist in the Office of Advancement to develop and implement strategies for a regional giving program focused on alumni, parents/family, and friends, emphasizing alumni engagement and mid-level gifts as part of the University's advancement efforts.

The role works with the Development Office and other units to translate UAB's mission into measurable engagement and fundraising outcomes, reporting to the Sr Director of Development

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; two years of related experience needed.
Travel is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Develop a comprehensive giving program aimed at securing mid-level gifts ($5,000–$24,999) through alumni, parents and friends.
Engage alumni and constituents; conduct assessment visits and document outcomes.
Coordinate with University Advancement Services to ensure proper prospect research, solicitations, acknowledgments.
Transition prospects to development officers for major gift cultivation when appropriate.
Other duties as assigned.
