Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Regional Air Freight Manager to lead air freight strategy, pricing, and GTM initiatives for designated regions. You will partner with Sales, Procurement, Operations, Tech, and Finance to grow market share and ensure top-tier customer experience.

The role demands 7+ years in freight forwarding, strong P&L and pricing capabilities, and deep airline relationships. A results-driven leader will guide regional teams and drive profit across trade lanes.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in freight forwarding or similar field.
• Experience designing door-to-door air freight routing and pricing for enterprise customers.
• Proven track record in business development and executive engagement.
• Established relationships with airline leadership and client networks.

Responsibilities

• Define region’s long-term air freight vision and growth objectives aligned with global strategy.
• Own full financial performance for regional origin/destination pairs and trade lanes.
• Co-define budgets and report key metrics in weekly business reviews.
• Drive operational efficiency and data-driven decisions to improve the process.
• Own end-to-end export procurement, routing, and solution design for the region.
• Nurture airline relationships and manage carrier performance and SLAs.
• Oversee door-to-door pricing for regional bids and RFQs.
• Own carrier agreements and rate compliance across systems.
• Shape GTM strategy and provide focused prospect lists for regional growth.
• Participate in client visits and help close complex enterprise deals.
• Expand wallet share with existing clients through pricing and solutions.
• Monitor market dynamics and communicate insights to sales teams.
• Mentor local teams and represent the Global Air Team externally.
