Job summary

Flexport seeks a Manager of Regional Ocean Management to oversee a multi-million dollar Ocean P&L for their district. You’ll design products, manage tenders, and collaborate with procurement and pricing teams to grow the book of business.

You’ll be the market expert, interface with customers, drive profitable growth, and lead a team to deliver district-wide forecasting and financial health. Regular client calls and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Ocean Freight experience at a top freight forwarder or carrier, or 5+ years of supply chain experience with a BA/BS.
• Strategic vision and execution from inception to results.
• Bias to Action, Process, Structure and Data to drive decisions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Customer-focused mindset; success aligns with client success.

Responsibilities

• Manage a sizeable Ocean P&L for your district, scaling volume and increasing yield.
• Interface with customers to provide market intelligence and tailor go-to-market strategies.
• Own tenders and RFQs to win regional and global customers.
• Collaborate with Procurement and Pricing teams to drive profitability and growth opportunities.
• Lead and develop the district team and drive forecasting and financial health.
• Participate in regular client calls and cross-functional initiatives to optimize the Ocean P&L.
