Position Purpose

The Regional Agency Manager supports Brokers and Account Management Teams in assigned territories for small group, mid-market, and large group segments. This position assists with new business, renewal presentations, and broker service issues pertaining to ancillary products.

  • Meet or exceed assigned annual sales goals and increase penetration of the book of business.
  • Participate in product training with Sales Management for Health Plan’s commercial sales segments.
  • Support Health Plan’s General Agents and brokers in the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement best practices based on local market conditions.
  • Review and respond to RFPs, manage internal strategy, and participate in major sales and renewal presentations.
  • Maintain familiarity with competitors, market environments, healthcare economics, etc.
  • Maintain competitive analysis information and submit to sales management quarterly.
  • Build relationships with Health Plan sales and account management teams to increase new sales and deepen existing accounts.
  • Travel to customer, finalist, and presale meetings, and other related activities.
  • Submit Account Executive reports and ad hoc reports promptly upon request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Marketing, Business, or related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in Sales, Healthcare, Medicare, CMS Regulations, and/or Management. Prior experience working with brokers/agents and territory management is preferred.

License/Certification

Active, valid, and unrestricted State Life, Health & Disability license. For Medicare/Commercial Solutions, a valid driver’s license is required. Travel is expected as a field-based role, with at least 75% of work in the marketplace. License requirements vary by state and must be obtained within 45 days if not already held.

Pay Range

$55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year.
