The Regional Account Manager’s (RAM) main priority is selling and executing Red Bull strategy and initiatives with a set group of Regions, Divisions, or Banners of a specific national chain. Key responsibilities include building highly productive retailer partner relationships at the region/division level; fostering strong internal relationships with cross-functional partners & DP, owning the development & execution of innovative sub-national strategies, and managing data analytics and scorecarding.
DELIVER ADDITIVE VOLUME AND WIN SHARE AT DIVISION LEVEL
- Wire with Division/Banner/Operation level decision makers at assigned retail chains
- Drive best-in-class execution of national programs through retailer decision makers
- Evaluate and own all KPIs for owned divisions and banners
- Sell and Influence retail decision makers to add programming, long-term sales drivers, and temp QPODs
- Work with RBNA marketing within the BUs and Regions to find tangible assets or affinities to leverage locally
- Own and develop annual business plans for your divisions that complement and build on the NAM's plans
- Always prospect and close new REACH opportunities in the market
CROSS FUNCATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND PARTNERSHIP
- Maintain open communication with relevant BU & DP personnel to ensure personal contact & effective program implementation
- Build sustainable Infrastructure to ensures that Distributor Partners are set up for success inclusive of DP wiring into you’re accounts, ensuring that DP management and ASM's deeply understand plans, and developing tools and resources to give the ASM the best chance for a successful meeting/conversation
- Visit DPs to ensure clarity of plan, prioritization, and local opportunities
- Co-develop local plans with DPs to maximize volume-per-outlet (VPO), while minimizing all execution gaps
- Communicate performance, scorecarding, wins, & opportunities
BUSINESS ANALYTICS
- Use data analytics to define priorities, evaluate performance, & identify opportunities for Establish necessary tools, templates, and scorecards to measure Distributor Partners and identify selling opportunities
- Conduct quarterly business reviews to update internal and external stakeholders on business, channel competition, opportunities.
- Work with Sr. Manager and National Account Managers to evaluate ROI with regards to all regional/divisional events and promotions.
- Analyze results of promotions, programs, and incremental division-level programs
- Share examples of Red Bull marketing and retail activities/activations to demonstrate key points of difference to competition
- Ad hoc ownership of special projects for both the Value Team and total small format
Qualifications
- 2 + years in Sales and Key Account experience with a strong track record of success, preferably in beverage, CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), or FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) industries or within a Direct Store Delivery DSD) operation
- Should have experience in chains (Value/Dollar preferred)
- Robust analytical skills and experience using internal and external data sources (i.e., Nielsen, Circana)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Innovative, creative, solution-oriented mindset
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
