Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, is seeking a Regional Access Director to lead admissions and access operations across our comprehensive care network. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Current RN license and CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Minimum of seven years of nursing experience, preferably within hospice, palliative care, home health, or post-acute healthcare settings.
• At least three years of progressive leadership experience managing clinical, admissions, access, or care coordination teams.
• Strong knowledge of hospice operations, healthcare regulations, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance benefits, and patient access best practices.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing teams, build collaborative partnerships, analyze operational data, and drive measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely, seamless access to all service lines while delivering an exceptional patient and family experience.
• Drive admissions metrics, customer experience outcomes, access responsiveness, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with physicians, hospital systems, business development teams, and community providers to strengthen referrals.
• Develop and implement admissions best practices, policies, workflows, and processes supporting compliance and growth.
• Utilize data, financial insights, and performance trends to guide strategic decision-making and resource optimization.

What You'll Do

What You'll Need
