City and County of Honolulu's Department of Environmental Services (ENV) seeks a Refuse Collection Administrator in Kapolei to direct an island-wide program of refuse, recycling, bulky items, and dead animal collection.

You will oversee daily operations, assist in policy formation, train personnel, manage hiring and performance reviews, and coordinate with unions. A four-year degree or equivalent with four years of admin leadership is required; valid driver's license required.

Competenze

Four (4) years of professional administrative experience directing a large refuse collection or similar operations.
Education substitution: four years of work experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
Possession of a valid driver’s license prior to appointment.

Mansioni

Direct the daily operations of the Refuse Collection Branch including refuse, recycling, bulky items, and dead animal collection.
Assist leadership in formulating policies and setting goals; review programs and make improvements.
Develop and coordinate training, orientation, motivation, and performance evaluation programs.
Participate in hiring, evaluate performance, and handle disciplinary actions.
Represent the division in meetings with union stewards and agents to resolve issues.
Prepare the Refuse Collection Branch budget requirements.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
