Job summary

County of Kauaʻi is seeking a Recycling Specialist III to independently manage island-wide recycling programs, coordinate waste reduction initiatives, and support related environmental projects.

You will develop, implement and monitor programs, prepare reports and materials, conduct outreach to schools and community groups, supervise staff as needed, and ensure compliance with recycling laws and disposal regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Three years of professional recycling program experience.
• Experience coordinating island-wide recycling programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and expands recycling programs island-wide.
• Leads major projects and coordinates teams.
• Creates educational materials and presents to groups.
