Qualifications

• Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
• One year of responsible experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in landfill operations.
• Knowledge of operation characteristics for gasoline and diesel powered equipment.
• Ability to read work orders and keep service/maintenance records.
• Basic math to keep time, records and logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate crawler dozer and landfill compactor to spread, compact, and cover refuse.
• Operate water truck for dust control at disposal sites.
• Assist in maintaining grounds at disposal sites and perform routine service work.
• Keep time, material and equipment maintenance records and follow safety rules.
