Fragile is a hyper-growth startup redefining how people access consumer hardware through seamless rentals. We are seeking a hands‑on Refurbishment Process Engineer to analyze, design, and optimize our repair/workflow lines across multiple product categories.

The role focuses on designing efficient flows, reducing cycle times, and improving first‑pass yield while lowering refurbishment costs. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to standardize operations and enhance shop‑floor

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering.
• Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• 2–6 years of engineering experience in high‑mix manufacturing, electronics assembly, remanufacturing, or overhaul/refurbishment facilities.

Responsibilities

• Workflow design, cell optimization across intake, triage, repair, testing, and repacking lines to maximize throughput across high‑mix product lines.
• Line balancing and bottleneck resolution; perform time‑and‑motion studies to eliminate idle time and balance workloads.
• Author clear, scalable SOPs, visual job aids, and repair guides to reduce variance and rework.
• Specify, source, and layout ergonomic, ESD‑safe benches and testing rigs to optimize throughput and safety.
• Track FPY, MTTR, scrap rate, and labor efficiency to drive data‑driven improvements.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and HR on onboarding and skills matrices for shop floor staff.
