Job summary

U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) in Dallas seeks a Program Assistant - Resettlement to support newly arrived refugees by arranging housing, healthcare, social services, interpretation, and other essential services throughout the resettlement period.

The position reports to the Senior Field Office Director and requires experience in case management or social work, strong interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Experience in case management or social work preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and listening skills.
• Able to work both independently and in a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Arrange housing, healthcare, social services, service providers and interpretation for newly arriving refugees in Dallas area.
• Maintain case files, submit written reports as required.
• Provide cross-cultural information, orient refugee families to their new community, and ensure a smooth resettlement process.
• Connect clients with supportive community networks and support systems for long-term integration.
• Ensure refugees are served in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner and provide education and advocacy when necessary.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
