Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in social service, education, or related field
• Experience in refugee or immigrant social services preferred
• Bilingual a plus (Arabic, Haitian Creole, Russian, Spanish, Swahili, or Ukrainian)
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work under strict deadlines

• Sensitivity to cultural differences of clients and staff

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake and enrollment for new clients in a timely manner and consistent with funding and program requirements.
• Comfortability using interpretation services, as needed.
• Monitor client activity participation through weekly tracking and data entry.
• Assist with follow up of employed clients at 30, 60, 90 days to track retention progress.
• Complete semi-annual Family Self-Sufficiency Plan (FSSP) check-ups for all clients.
• Assist with departmental and program reports on refugee employment outcomes.
• Coordinate client assignments and case flows across the refugee employment team.
• Troubleshoot issues related to client participation and record keeping.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic records in accordance with funding and agency requirements.
• Prepare case notes on all contacts with or on behalf of clients in a timely manner.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
• Attend local, regional and national employment meetings and refugee resettlement conferences as needed.
• Assume other related duties as assigned.
