Job summary

JFCS Pittsburgh is seeking a Director of Refugee and Immigrant Services to lead and supervise refugee resettlement, case management, volunteer and peer support programs, and community collaborations.

This role will shape partnerships with funders, craft grant proposals, ensure grant and contract compliance, and foster a trauma-informed, cross-cultural workplace advancing dignity and opportunity for newcomers.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit administration.
• Experience working with refugees and/or immigrants.
• Experience supervising a large team and mentoring supervisors.
• Strong grant compliance, monitoring, and evaluation experience.
• Creative, curious, justice-driven leader with strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise refugee and immigrant social services programs.
• Develop partnerships with funders and external partners.
• Lead grant proposals, reporting, and compliance.
• Maintain cross-cultural, trauma-informed program leadership.
• Build and maintain a strong, high-functioning team.
• Represent JFCS in community and regional coalitions.
