Job summary

Bethany Christian Services USA LLC in Grand Rapids, MI, seeks a Unit Supervisor to support refugee and immigrant children and families, guiding Youth Specialists, ensuring safety and quality of care, and coordinating services across programs.

You will supervise staff, participate in weekly meetings, uphold federal and state requirements, and help maintain the program manual while fostering a collaborative, faith-based work culture.

Qualifications

• Must have one of the following: High School Diploma and four (4) years of work experience in a child caring institution or; Two (2) years of college from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of work experience in a child caring institution or; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of work experience in a child caring institution.
• Bilingual Spanish/English fluency, strongly preferred.
• Pass federal fingerprint screening if required.
• Ability to work on a multi-disciplinary treatment team with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct, and lead Youth Specialist(s) and facilitate weekly meetings.
• Provide weekly individual and team supervision to supervisory staff.
• Conduct regular rounds in classrooms to ensure safety and quality of care.
• Hire, onboard, and train staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee scheduling and staffing for adequate coverage at all times.
• Ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the program's operating manual.
• Participate in weekly staff and resident meetings.
