Job summary

Yulista Holding, LLC is seeking a Refuge Information Technician to serve as a liaison between the Refuge and villages in the Yukon Kuskokwim Delta. The role involves managing communication, facilitating outreach programs, and coordinating access to Native lands.

Applicants should have knowledge of subsistence practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work flexibly in varying outdoor conditions. This is a part-time position offering an intermittent schedule based on seasonal needs.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of related experience, including remote living.
• Must be able to travel to remote areas by plane, boat, or ATV.
• Ability to speak Yupik (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the Refuge and Native villages.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration on subsistence issues.
• Develop outreach materials during hunting and fishing seasons.

Skills

Knowledge of traditional subsistence and cultural practices

Understanding of differences between Alaska Native and Western management practices

Experience with oral communication

Cross-cultural communication skills

Ability to develop and maintain rural community networks

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate or bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
