Description:

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc is seeking to hire a full-time Service Technician for our Service department. This role involves working closely with our Service Managers and requires expertise in refrigeration principles, mechanical and electrical systems, and safety regulations to ensure our customers' equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a premier custom design-build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, offering design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.

Job Role:

The Service Technician is responsible for the repair, maintenance, and support of industrial refrigeration equipment for our valued customers. A working knowledge of commercial and industrial refrigeration and electrical controls is essential for success in this role.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (45-60 hours per week)

Key Duties:

• Perform refrigeration repair and maintenance support for industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP
• Conduct routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration equipment found in industrial applications
• Utilize knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical troubleshooting of ammonia central systems, and control/alarm systems to perform inspections and preventative maintenance
• Adhere to all safety policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech school preferred
• Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain
• RETA 1 & 2 certification preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug, felony, and motor vehicle record screenings
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring regular drug testing
• Excellent physical condition required; ability to climb ladders, wear respirators, work 10-12 hour days, and perform heavy lifting
• Ability to wear and pass a respirator fit test
