St. Louis County seeks a dedicated individual to ensure the health and safety of animals at its shelters. Responsibilities include examining animal health, assisting in medical procedures, and preparing animals for adoption. In this position, you will be providing a valued service by assuring public health and safety. You will examine and oversee the general health of all animals at St. Louis County's animal shelters.

Selection and Appointment: A selection committee will evaluate applicants based on education, experience, answers to questions, references, and other relevant information. Only the most qualified candidates will be interviewed. Candidates must score at least 70 on the interview to be eligible for appointment. After interviews, top candidates will be certified to the Department Director for final decision.
All conditional offers are contingent upon passing a urinalysis screening for illegal drugs, paid for by the County. New employees must also attest to their COVID-19 vaccination status within 30 days of employment. Non-vaccinated employees will undergo weekly testing until fully vaccinated or until the County reaches a 70% vaccination rate with moderate COVID-19 transmission.
