Description:

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking to hire a full-time Service Technician for our Service department. This role involves working closely with Service Managers and requires expertise in refrigeration principles, mechanical and electrical systems, and safety regulations to ensure optimal operation of customer equipment.

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is a leading custom design-build contractor for industrial refrigeration systems, offering design, fabrication, construction, commissioning, and service in-house.

Job Role:

The Service Technician will be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and supporting industrial refrigeration equipment for our clients. A solid understanding of commercial and industrial refrigeration, along with electrical controls, is essential for success in this role.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday (45-60 hours per week)

Key Duties:

• Perform repairs and maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems, including ammonia and Freon equipment, ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP
• Conduct routine and emergency service on ammonia and Freon refrigeration units used in industrial settings
• Utilize knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical troubleshooting, and control/alarm systems for inspections and preventative maintenance
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations diligently

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC tech school preferred
• Universal EPA certification or ability to obtain it
• RETA 1 & 2 certifications preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug, felony, and motor vehicle record screenings
• This is a safety-sensitive position requiring regular drug testing
• Physical capability to climb ladders, wear respirators, work long hours, and lift heavy objects
• Ability to wear and pass a respirator fit test
