Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Technician

LIC based Local 638 HVAC Service Company has an opening for highly skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Technicians for a fast-paced service department. Opportunities are available for both Commercial Refrigeration and HVAC. WE ARE PROUD TO HIRE VETERANS!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Maintain and repair HVAC/Refrigeration equipment and systems in commercial and industrial settings.
2. Assess customer equipment and service needs.
3. Identify revenue opportunities and recommend immediate actions to customers.
4. Service and troubleshoot HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment.
5. Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting.
6. Prepare accurate daily reports on work performed and quotes.
7. Communicate effectively with dispatch and service teams.
8. Use all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE).
9. Maintain courteous and professional behavior towards customers and third parties.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid, clean driver’s license meeting company policy.
• FDNY Torch Certification.
• OSHA 30-hour and 10-hour SST Certifications.
• Proficiency with smartphones; knowledge of IVR and retail procedures is a plus.
• Flexibility to work standby rotation and overtime as needed.
• VRF and VRV experience is a plus but not required.
