Principal Accountabilities

• Maintain all aspects of the facility's industrial ammonia system, including exposure to water treatment chemicals with little to no guidance
• Complete preventative, predictive and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility while working in environmental, providing feedback to management for areas of improvement, with minimal authority to implement changes
• Leverage various systems and applications, such as computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), Process Safety Management, wastewater systems and operations and possess one or more refrigeration operations certifications
• Record and document completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software, with little to no oversight
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts typically following standard production documentation
• Participates in projects and pursue continuous improvement according to business strategy and supervisor
• Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Help manage audit preparations and or information requests
• Assist in completing PSM requirements and support to correct deficiencies
• Assist in keeping State and Federal records
• Assist in the training of the Utilities associates
• Assist in regulatory permit management
• Understand and adhere to all safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• 2 year degree in refrigeration related field or equivalent experience
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal & written)
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work alone without supervision. Understand and follow job plans
• Ability to learn RETA certification information and pass Ammonia Operator classes
• Ability to assist supervisor with duties as needed, lead projects and pursue continuous improvement according to business strategy and supervisor
• Ability to Perform preventative maintenance (PM’s) and troubleshooting of equipment related to the refrigeration/utility department
• Operate forklifts and scissor lifts

• Previous production or maintenance experience
• Meat processing experience
• Food handling experience
• Previous production, military, or maintenance experience
