Job description

Thermo King of Houston is now hiring a Refrigeration Technician III at 772 McCarty Street, Houston, TX 77029. This role requires a self-motivated individual capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision. The technician will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing/removing Thermo King refrigeration units, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance such as hoses, batteries, starters, and alternators. Additionally, preventive maintenance on trailers, trucks, and APU's is expected.

Responsibilities

1. Perform preventive maintenance on trailers, trucks, and APU's.
2. Utilize basic refrigeration skills for diagnosis—leak checks, recovery, evacuation, and charging.
3. Replace components as needed, including belts, hoses, batteries, starters, and alternators.
4. Use basic electrical skills and diagnosis tools like DVOM.
5. Maintain and diagnose batteries.
6. Install and remove Thermo King refrigeration units.
7. Use computer/laptop to complete work orders, read service documents, wiring diagrams, schematics, and aid in diagnosis.
8. Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, service bays, and toolboxes.
9. Follow safety practices, wear PPE, and adhere to company policies.
