Job summary

Simmons Foods, Inc. is seeking a skilled refrigeration and electrical technician to assist in maintenance of our facility's refrigeration systems and related process equipment.

The role involves repairing, troubleshooting with engineers/vendors, adhering to safety policies, and contributing to team initiatives; experience with ammonia refrigeration and LEAN environments preferred.

On-site position in Arkansas with ability to work in varied temperatures and physical demands.

Qualifications

• Vocational training in electrical, electronic, PLC and mechanical repair.
• Completed Ammonia Refrigeration Operator I class.
• Experience in poultry or food processing maintenance preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, and operate refrigeration equipment to meet production needs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and consult with engineers and vendors.
• Ensure safety compliance with Simmons PSM programs and government regulations; may qualify for HAZMAT.
• Work as part of the team to implement best practices and process improvements.
• Perform other duties to support business objectives.
