Job summary

Kraft Heinz Avon Plant in Avon, NY is seeking a Utilities Technician (Stationary Engineer/HVAC Mechanic/ Ammonia Refrigeration Technician) to operate and maintain plant ammonia/refrigeration, HVAC, and support utilities systems. This role requires flexibility to work first, second, or third shifts, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to wear a gas mask and SCBA.

Qualifications

• Able to operate and monitor ammonia/refrigeration, HVAC and steam systems.
• Must be flexible to work first, second or third shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Physically capable of wearing a gas mask and SCBA and lifting 100 lbs.
• EPA-compliant with CFC Type I & II certification; steam/refrigeration licenses preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and maintain plant ammonia/refrigeration systems.
• Maintain compressed air, process steam and HVAC infrastructure.
• Follow safety protocols, PPE usage and regulatory requirements.
• Support shift operations and respond to equipment issues.
